Belle knew something was wrong, everything had suddenly turned cold and she could sense that danger was upon their castle. Where was Rumpel? She was unable to see him anywhere. She searched frantically for him over the castle grounds. She ran through the rose garden, looking in every corner. Then Belle found him, alone, against the ground. But it was too late.

And when it mattered most Rumpelstiltskin proved himself not to be a coward, he had given his life for Belle’s.

* I have a a feeling that there is some dramatic turn coming for Rumbelle. Over the two series the point is continually made that Rumpelstiltskin is a coward, so it seems only fitting that the writers will somehow use this to create some climatic plot line.
